Antigoni is a musician originally from Cyprus, but now living and working in Sheffield as a performer and educator since completing her Music degree at The University of Sheffield in June of 2021.
Antigoni has 18 years of playing experience behind the piano and throughout this journey she had the opportunity to do solo performances, accompany choirs, play in orchestras and generally perform in venues in both Cyprus and the UK.
Though Antigoni is a classically trained musician, during her time at the University she chose to explore and experiment with other genres of music such as: Traditional Folk music, Jazz, Indian Classical music and Contemporary music. Most notably, Antigoni has been awarded with the "Stewart Blake Recital Prize" in June 2021, for having the best piano recital performance in the Music Department’s final-year examinations.
As a teacher, Antigoni always aims to tailor the lessons around the student and their goals. She is very understanding, friendly and patient and she recognises that every student has the potential to become a great piano player through hard work and of course a bit of fun!
